Stiltspear 2

Another go at China Mieville's Stiltspear. In the book 'Iron Council' the Stiltspear are a fishing people who live in the deep marshy jungles, and have the skill to manipulate water and to disguise themselves as the plant life that surrounds them. The encroaching railroad will drain their marshes and destroy their culture.

The background I took on Boar Fell in the Howgills last summer, and the other textures I photographed in the garden. The figures are freehand.
